The city center and ramparts shine in winter
27. November 2023
Bremen's city center is once again transformed into a magical sea of lights, putting residents of Buten and inland Bremen alike in a festive mood.
The CityInitiative relies on the lighting concept that was expanded in 2020, which also includes, among other things, the impressive 3D objects in the ramparts. The festive Christmas and winter illumination will be a unique experience and a brilliant treat for everyone visiting the city center, from Sögestrasse, to Domshof, Obernstrasse to Langenstrasse or even Schnoor.
The city center shines at selected hotspots and in the individual neighborhoods with numerous fairy lights and Christmas lighting elements that enhance the festive atmosphere. As a special highlight, 3D animal luminous objects return to the heart of the city and invite you to marvel and stroll: the oversized light deer, as well as the glowing water lilies in the ramparts, the glowing town musicians in Beinehauerstrasse and, more recently, the fox and deer in the Ansgari winter forest Quarter.
The CityInitiative and everyone involved are looking forward to inviting people from Buten and inland Bremen to a festive stroll through the illuminated city center of Bremen. The successful combination of traditional Christmas lights and modern light objects creates a unique atmosphere that makes the anticipation of the festive season palpable.
