RELAXED ARRIVAL

Bremen's city center can be easily reached with any means of transport. Regardless of whether you come by car or by public transport, the city of Bremen welcomes you. Take the tram or bus directly to the sights and shopping miles. Or park your car stress-free in one of the 12 convenient multi-storey car parks in the city centre.

1. BY CAR

The city of Bremen is designated as an environmental zone. Since July 1, 2011, you need the green sticker, unless your vehicle falls under an exception rule. All information on the environmental zone at www.umweltzone.bremen.de .

  • From Hamburg, Hanover or Osnabrück:
    Use the A27 and A1 motorways, exit Arsten, and then follow the B6 federal road. Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse takes you directly to the center of Bremen.
  • From Cuxhaven or Bremerhaven:
    Use the A 27 motorway, Bremen-Überseestadt exit, then the B6 federal road to the Woltmershausen/Hohentorshafen exit and follow the signs towards Centrum.
  • From Oldenburg:
    Via the A28 motorway, take the Hamburg/Bremen exit to the A1 motorway. Leave this at the Bremen Hemelingen exit and follow the signs towards Centrum. When you arrive, please note the information on the current traffic situation.

2. BY BUS, RAILWAY AND TRAIN TO CITY

  • The Deutsche Bahn AG
    With the local and long-distance trains of the Deutsche Bahn, you can travel quickly and easily directly to the center of Bremen. From here you can get to the exhibition halls via the north exit or to the public transport stops, the ZOB and the city center via the south exit.   • BSAG - the Bremen tram company
    Use the trams and buses of the Bremer Strassenbahn AG (BSAG) to discover Bremen. From the train station you can get to all corners of Bremen on the very well-developed local public transport network, because almost all lines meet here.   • VBN - the transport association Bremen/Lower Saxony
    If you need information about connections to the Bremen area, you are at the right address at the Verkehrsverbund Bremen/Niedersachsen. At www.vbn.de you will find up-to-date information, as well as timetables for buses and trains to the Bremen area.
  • Central bus station (ZOB)
    Do you want to travel far away by bus? The long-distance bus stops of the ZOB Bremen are located directly at the train station on Breitenweg and directly in front of the CinemaxX Bremen.

3. BY BIKE

Bremen's favorite means of transport is the bicycle - and with good reason! The numerous well-developed bicycle and long-distance cycle paths lead you through Bremen in a special way.

  • Parking for your bike
    In the city center you will of course find many bicycle racks where you can park your bike. However, if you prefer a covered parking space, you can store your two-wheeler in the Mitte and Am Brill multi-storey car parks free of charge, safely and securely.

4. BY PLANE

Bremen Airport is very well connected to the city centre. You can reach the city center by car in just under 10 minutes.

  • Even more comfortably and without having to look for a parking space, you can take the BSAG tram line 6 to the city center every 10 minutes.
  • Prefer to take a taxi? No problem. There are taxi ranks right in front of the airport, which will quickly take you to your destination.
