Maritime day
18. September 2021
Bremen is maritime and a maritime attitude to life, which is inextricably linked to the Hanseatic city and to which every Bremen resident probably feels a personal connection. Experience the city of Bremen on Maritime Day with a particularly large number of musical highlights. All fans of the Maritime Week, which cannot take place this year due to Corona, can look forward to a wide range of maritime activities throughout the city of Bremen.
A maritime day certainly cannot replace the maritime week. Nevertheless, such a day can remind you of the Bremen folk festival and create a good atmosphere. Bremen is home, Bremen is maritime. On Saturday, September 18th, 2021, the CityInitiative will bring maritime flair to the city of Bremen. Bremen residents, visitors and guests can look forward to a number of maritime program items.
Musically maritime, that's shanty - the Delme Shanty Singers, the Bremen Shanty Choir, the Vegesack Sailors' Choir and the Beckedorfer Schifferknote will perform on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the Hanseatenhof stage. Wanderlust, sea air, hard work on the ship, togetherness - shanty arouses many different emotions and gets straight into the ear with sonorous male voices. Of course, the physical well-being is taken care of - the maritime bar "Old Cliff" provides you with drinks and for the small appetite there are delicious fish sandwiches.
Detailed program information can be found in the event overview.
