In cooperation with the current exhibition “Faszination Cave”, 52 Bremen artists got creative
“Fascination of Caves” is the motto at the Böttcherstrasse Museum until the end of June 2024. With this exhibition, the Böttcherstrasse Museums are celebrating the 150th birthday of the builder of the Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum, Bernhard Hoetger (1874–1949). The expressionist architectural style of the museum embodies, similar to a cave, the striving from darkness to light.
In cooperation with the Böttcherstrasse Museums and the exhibition taking place there, the theme of our current CityGalerie was created : “Cave Worlds” . The most established interim use concept for taking advantage of temporary vacancies has been our CityGalerie for over 10 years. This time we are reviving the former pharmacy in LLOYD PASSAGE 40 and opening the exhibition from March 21st to May 31st, 2024. A cave-like entrance leads to the diverse works of the 52 Bremen artists. Whether painting or sculpture, art lovers will find a variety of techniques and impressive interpretations of the theme of caves in the approximately 200 works.
