Bremen's city center is undergoing enormous change. Corona pandemic, digitization, but also private sector investments or current municipal programs and concepts have an influence on their development and will change the face of Bremen City permanently.
How much mixed use should it be and what do we need to be able to live on it? What role will and should retail continue to play, as it is still the number one reason for visits. How can the upper center function
be expanded through good accessibility and a nationwide retail offer and at the same time make Bremen's city center more of a living area and neighborhood? How can traffic serve to answer urban planning questions in terms of people and quality of stay without becoming an end in itself?
